Great variety of household objects testifies to the fact that everyday life of a peasant was dynamic and complex in a specific way, although social, political and historical circumstances were unfavourable for centuries. Such diversity could be a reflection of high level of social organization and spiritual culture.

For decades this collection had been formed as a paradigm of material side of common way of living, but it contains a number of different items representing successfully non-material side of life in general, and it was structured to clearly depict the evolution of traditional way of living.

Collection contains wooden and metal items of a traditional household. All items are divided into three groups: fireplace items, wall items and movables. The first group includes "verige" - pothooks, "sadžak", "sač", hook, "maša", "preklad" - hearth supports, pot, "tronožac" - three-leg-chair etc.; the second group contains "sofra" - feast table, "kašikar" - cutlery container, salt, "uljanica" - oil lamp, lantern etc.; the third group includes "stupa", cradle, "lučarnik", tread wheel, cutlery, various dishes such as "zastrug", "karta" - wooden pitcher for vine, bottles, plates, bowls etc. 

The oldest items of the collection are made at the beginning of 19th century, and some of them are very rear and have special museological value.
