Klepetusa cow-bell
Cattle breeding, one of the primary branches of economy in traditional Serbian culture, during the centuries had two types of social-economic organizations for breeding and exploitation of cattle fund. The first type of that organization was Dinaric - 'katun' transhumance cattle breeding, based on a community and family units in which every extended family breed their cattle alone, processed and distributed the products.

The next social-economic organization was 'bačija' type of cattle breeding whose main characteristic was economic association of a village community, for most functional use of cattle fund. Breeding, production, proprietary and employing relations were determinated by customary social-economic system.
Items in the collection Cattle rearing were used for breeding, keeping, healing and feeding of cattle. In addition to this the collection contains items of further processing vessels for milk and dairy products, different objects for transport and distribution of those products. Material, manufacture, use and symbolic value of the objects of different cattle rearing traditions show richness of traditional economy.
