Hunting and Fishing

In traditional culture hunting was amusement and status symbol, but it was actually a way of struggle against beasts and pests that destroy cattle fund, crops and food in general. The collection consists mainly of different scarecrows, snares and traps for birds, then, various mousetraps: wire, with a loop, traps, 'pastulje'; arms and equipment for rifle hunting, 'kljusa' - trap for wild animals, 'džiliti'. 

Fishing in traditional culture made profit to a households but it was also additional economic activity practiced mainly by trawlermen. Anthropo-geographically, area represented by items from this collection, made possible all kinds of continental - river, pond and marsh, as well as sea fishing. The collection is made of nets for pulling, raising and driving together the prey, nets for drawing and covering; hook tools - movable and unmovable, 'samica' hooks and hooks for 'struk', tools for stabbing - piercing the prey; auxiliary fishing tools, fish-holding vessels.
