Toys are not only means and indispensable thing for children play. As museum items they provide for a researcher possibility to get an insight into much wider social, economic and political aspects of a society. They are industrial products, but also craftsman works and handiwork, made by parents or by children themselves. For their manufacture they used all available materials and they represent both urbane and rural population. This collection includes items from previous centuries as well as those created a few months ago. They are divided according to age, gender and function.
Beside common playthings, there are few items - models of households, agricultural tools and means of transport, made in the first half of 20th century, which used to be a part of the classroom material intended for primary schools. |
