Old Negatives and Photographs

Photo of sobrasica, the beginning of 20th century
Number and diversity of old negatives, slides and photographs makes this collection the most significant and illustrative fund of the kind in Serbia. Beside landscapes, sacral and profane architecture, way of dressing and customs recorded on the territory inhabited by Serbs, very important part of the collection are colour slides recorded at the beginning of 20 century on the territory of Asia and North America.

Most of the photographs were taken towards the end of 19th and at the beginning of 20th century, by famous photographers-amateurs, Đorđe Stanojević, Nikola Zega, Radivoje Simonović, Petar Ž. Petrović, and many other curators and Museum associates. 

Integral parts of the collection are legacies of Stanoje Bojović, "Putnik" Photo Agency, Vladeta Limić and others.
