Documentation Department

Documentation department is a jugular vein of every museum. Standard documentation about Museum items - main inventory and a number of reference card files, are important museum concerns and for them there is a special department since 1919.

During last couple of years, beside ordinary, the Museum introduced electronic documentation, which is part of a wider project to make central register of movables and cultural goods in Serbia. 

Within this department there are special collections:

• Photo-documentation of items and field events with accompanying collection of slides; 
• Collection of old negatives and photographs with accompanying legacies;
• Art collection;
• Museum Archives; 
• Material for Ethnographic Atlas
